Frutos e subprodutos de Actinidia arguta como fonte de compostos bioativos para diferentes indústrias - bibliografia

RESUMO

A redução do desperdício alimentar é um objetivo mundial até 2030, sendo a valorização dos subprodutos alimentares o principal desafio. A Actinidia arguta é uma planta com diversos benefícios para a saúde, a qual produz um pequeno fruto conhecido como kiwi bebé, recentemente classificado como um “super fruto”. A produção global de kiwi bebé atingiu recentemente o valor recorde de 1600 toneladas por ano, gerando diferentes subprodutos, tais como folhas, caules, raízes, frutos danificados ou com tamanho inadequado para comercialização. Os frutos são ricos em diferentes compostos bioativos, tais como minerais, vitaminas, ácidos orgânicos, açúcares e compostos fenólicos, os quais estão associados a diversas atividades biológicas. Da mesma forma, os subprodutos têm uma composição bioativa rica, a qual está associada a diversas atividades biológicas já demonstrados em estudos in vivo. A presente revisão visa compilar a informação mais recente sobre a composição bioativa e os benefícios para a saúde dos frutos e subprodutos de A. arguta, destacando-se o seu potencial uso nas indústrias alimentar, nutracêutica, farmacêutica e cosmética.
